AI transparency
This is a translation. The German version is binding.
This page explains where artificial intelligence is involved on this website and in our projects, and how we implement Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence (the AI Act) as amended.
On this website
- The website contains no AI system within the meaning of Art. 3 (1) AI Act and no automatically generated answers. The assistant at the bottom right is a guided dialogue: you choose a question, it shows the answer we wrote in advance. It does not generate text and does not learn. Its face is that of the narrator on the home page and serves design only.
- The AI check is a questionnaire with fixed rules. It is called that because it shows where AI pays off in your company, not because it uses AI itself. It runs only in your browser.
- We created the text, design and code of this website with the help of AI tools. We checked every statement before publication and take responsibility for it.
In our projects
Roles under the AI Act
Whoever puts an AI system into service under their own name is usually the provider (Art. 3 (3)); whoever uses it under their own authority is the deployer (Art. 3 (4)). When we build a system for your company, we set out the roles and the related obligations in writing in an AI annex to the contract.
Prohibited practices and high-risk systems
We do not build systems with practices under Art. 5 AI Act (such as manipulation, social scoring or prohibited emotion recognition at work). Projects that could fall under the high-risk areas of Annex III, such as recruitment or creditworthiness, we only take on after a separate assessment and a separate agreement.
Transparency towards users
Systems that talk directly to people are designed so that users know they are interacting with an AI (Art. 50 (1)). Where the AI Act requires it, AI-generated content is marked in a machine-readable way (Art. 50 (2)).
Human oversight and quality
AI results can be wrong. That is why every system includes human review where results have consequences, quality is measured with fixed test cases, and the system logs what it does.
AI literacy
Under Art. 4 AI Act, providers and deployers promote the AI literacy of the people working with their systems. For your team we offer the AI workshop with a written training record.
Models and data
- By default, hosting and open-source models come from providers with data centres in Germany.
- We only use other AI models processed in the European Union with your consent.
- We only use providers outside the EU with your express consent and a lawful basis for the transfer.
- Every project comes with a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.
- Your data is not used to train AI models without your consent.
