Companion app with AI chat
An app for iOS and Android, built for the audience of a channel with more than 25,000 followers: plan appointments around astronomical time windows, keep a journal, ask an AI companion.
The situation
Anyone who plans appointments around exact astronomical time windows had to calculate them by hand. Journal, planning and knowledge lived in different places.
The idea
The app rests on three parts: its own engine for the sky, a linked knowledge graph and an AI companion that adds the current sky context to every question. It works offline first; the servers only add to it.
How it is built
- The AI only makes suggestions. What gets saved is exactly what the person sees and confirms.
- Journal with voice input and transcription.
- Journal data is a special category under Art. 9 GDPR. So users cannot connect their own AI accounts, which would bring in further processors.
- Delete your account right in the app.
- Learning texts for every combination of day and hour, checked in several stages.

- 7,246automated tests in 681 suites (October 2026)
- 5,282of 5,292 learning texts checked one by one, final sign-off pending (20 October 2026)
Status
Shortly before launch, starting as a beta on iOS. Still open: store listings, purchase integration, email delivery and legal links (October 2026).
